About fifty independent contractor drivers from Houston’s largest taxicab fleet, Yellow Cab, will give up their Thanksgiving morning to transport over 125 homeless women and children from Star of Hope’s Transitional Living Center to the downtown Hard Rock Café.

 “Yellow Cab is proud to partner with the Star of Hope for the 8th Annual Yellow Roads of Texas. Each year the independent contractor drivers are truly excited to donate their time and service to the families so that they may enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal at the iconic Hard Rock Café. Make sure to look out for the caravan of Yellow Cabs traveling down 288 on Thanksgiving morning.” said Roman Martinez, President  & CEO of Texas Taxi.

Once again officers from Precinct 6 will generously provide a motorcycle escort downtown to the Thanksgiving meal.

Kathrin Yokubaitis, Star of Hope’s Manager of Community Relations and Events, looks forward to the Thanksgiving transportation treat. “Our clients can’t stop smiling when they get in the cab. The ride and police escort is part of the entire holiday experience.” she said.

7th Annual “Yellow Roads of Texas” Thanksgiving event was a success!

Yellow Cab Houston partnered with the Star of Hope Mission and the Hard Rock Cafe downtown to provide a special Thanksgiving experience for 150 homeless women and children. On Thanksgiving morning, the HAIL A CAB® app promo Jeep led the caravan from the Star of Hope Transitional Living Center to the Hard Rock Cafe. Over 40 independent contractor taxi drivers donated their Thanksgiving morning to the event. It was a sea of yellow down 288!

Yellow Cab Houston Partners with Star of Hope for 6th Annual “Yellow Roads of Texas” Thanksgiving Event

For the sixth year, Yellow Cab will send a sea of its iconic taxis down 288 from the Randy & Kathy Tabor Transitional Living Center for Women & Families to the Hard Rock Café downtown. The 50 cabs will be transporting Star of Hope families to a traditional Thanksgiving lunch courtesy of Hard Rock Café.  This year the caravan plans to take 165 homeless women and children to the event thanks to 50 Yellow Cab drivers who will be donating their services on Thanksgiving morning.

Keep a lookout around 10:30AM on Thanksgiving morning for a glimpse of the Yellow Roads of Texas!
