50 CITY CABS
DELIVER HOMELESS FAMILIES
TO THANKSGIVING MEAL
TAXIS CREATE “YELLOW ROADS OF TEXAS” CARAVAN
TO HARD ROCK CAFE
About fifty independent contractor drivers from Houston’s largest taxicab fleet, Yellow Cab, will give up their Thanksgiving morning to transport over 125 homeless women and children from Star of Hope’s Transitional Living Center to the downtown Hard Rock Café.
“Yellow Cab is proud to partner with the Star of Hope for the 8th Annual Yellow Roads of Texas. Each year the independent contractor drivers are truly excited to donate their time and service to the families so that they may enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal at the iconic Hard Rock Café. Make sure to look out for the caravan of Yellow Cabs traveling down 288 on Thanksgiving morning.” said Roman Martinez, President & CEO of Texas Taxi.
Once again officers from Precinct 6 will generously provide a motorcycle escort downtown to the Thanksgiving meal.
Kathrin Yokubaitis, Star of Hope’s Manager of Community Relations and Events, looks forward to the Thanksgiving transportation treat. “Our clients can’t stop smiling when they get in the cab. The ride and police escort is part of the entire holiday experience.” she said.
